I’m Doing It My Way…(hopefully)
I’ve decided to self-publish. I have spent the past year querying agents, and piling up rejections. I stopped counting after 50 rejections or so. That is just the number the people that actually responded to reject me. I’m not counting the crickets of those agents who didn’t.
NaNoFu**It
I call it NaNoF*ckIt, because I start every time, generally make my wordcount the first day or two and then get hopelessly behind and quit sometime about day six.
Like a bottle thrown into the ocean…
Every “no” is one step closer to a “yes”, I say.
Good things come to those who wait, I say.
Patience is a virtue, I say.
@^%$*!!!, I say.
Yay! Rejected! Again!
I replied, that I was actually very happy to get a rejection. She seemed surprised by this. I said it is because I actually have something to reject. How wonderful is that?
